10-27-2013 around 4 A.M. photo above - most of the loud green, black, and blue eye shadow colors and the bright red lipstick obviously left my face and migrated to my fractured left ankle... yes - in spite of the broken leg, the show went on (with me seated and my left ankle high on an adjacent chair).
Oh what a night! On 10-26-2013 I "Performed readings" as Gypsy Judy in the lobby of The (Historic) Auburn Hotel to fabulous music in the background wafting in from Four Crowns (Tommy Myers, Randy Kimball, Jimi Kimball and Wolfsbane Remedy) for a fabulous group of people, some of whom were dressed as themselves and others who were in alter ego states dressed in fabulous costumes. I did not get to see Doc West, but Tommy asked "Doc" some music trivia questions. While I missed the haunted tour, we did get quite a bit of history about this haunted and magical old building from Kimberly Kimball and Brolyn who is lovingly restoring the building for the owners. The 52 rooms that can be rented are mostly only available during the Auburn Cord Duesenberg high life times about 2 weeks out of the year.

Harry Potter Party Mitchell Books as Traloni 2005
This picture of Judy as Treloni and little Miss Galluchi landed in full color, over the fold, in the weekend edition, front page of the local newspaper, The Journal Gazette, with a wonderful article by Tony Sams, July 16, 2005. Participants had to wait until the witching hour, 12:01 A.M. to purchase the new Harry Potter release, but guests at Mitchell Books had a fabulous time.
Judy as Traloni set a personal record of 86 readings that evening, all but one held in the castle in the fabulous Children's section of what once was at the time, the largest independent bookstore in Indiana. Average time for each reading 6.6 minutes. The readings were supposed to be for the children, but after waiting in line - and being thoroughly entertained, the adults also wanted readings!
Tom performed as Dumbledor while Victoria Andrew used at least four syllables in at least three words of each rapid fire sentence as she directed the characters who entertained a full house.
Such fun, no sleep, great marketing that hit the mark, well worth every minute and every memory.
When asked to perform for this, I had absolutely no clue who Treloni was, much less how to dress. The store manager, Tim Schulte (now owner, publisher at Variance Publishing) assured me I could pull off Professor Treloni with ease - "Just tease your hair out a little wilder, throw on a few more beads, get some big glasses, and do what you normally do - you are a perfect shoe in!"
The staff at Mitchell Books found some videos and let me know the minutes where Treloni appeared. Imagine my surprise to see this character was probably me in a parallel lifetime. I walked in, spinning the large glasses out of which I could not see ANYTHING, exclaiming in a rather loud and very shrill voice "Dahlings! Dahlings! I have a screw loose! No, no not me - my glasses!".
Yes - that is a tuning fork being used as the magic wand it is.
