An elder Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life. He said to them, "A fight is going on inside me...It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves.
One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, pride and superiority. The other wolf stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. This same fight is going on inside of you and every other person too." The children thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?" The old Cherokee simply replied... "The one I feed." |
We must learn to allow our personal integrity to be our guide. When we do this, our feeling of being alone will vanish.
When we realize we are no longer alone, our personal will can then emerge. Standing in our truth is the ONLY way to stand. Be ever mindful of your opinions and actions. Have the fortitude to be willing to walk your talk, speak your truth, know your life’s mission, and balance past, present, and future in the now. Change your own "old reality" by shape shifting and becoming your future self. Let's work together to bend physical laws to aid in creating the shape shifted world of peace. |

Typical medicine can include plants, healing techniques, teachings, and spirituality.
Tom and I believe camping out in nature around wonderful families provides all who are involved in the experience a unique opportunity to hear and experience the truths that each expresses. |
TransformationThe term, "Medicine" is derived from the Latin ars medicina, meaning "the art of healing". When people hear the term “medicine” many are triggered to think about our Western medical profession, which includes the science and art of diagnosing, treating, curing, and preventing disease, relieving pain, and improving health. A large part of the practice includes using "medicines" with the patient, also known as drug therapy.
There is another perception of “medicine” that originates from the Native American culture. From this perspective, medicine can be any object, spell, ritual, practice, etc. that has natural or supernatural powers as a remedy, a guide, a preventive, or as a form of protection. This form of traditional medicine (aka indigenous, complimentary, folk remedies, or alternative medicine) comprises knowledge about plant, animal, and mineral-based medicines, spiritual therapies, and manual techniques that have been developed and used over a period of time. According to Native American tradition and beliefs, medicine is an inner power that is found in all of Nature which includes all individuals. That "inner power" is a state of being in natural resonance and spin with ourselves, our families, our communities, our ancestors, Father Sky and Mother Earth. |
